Третий глаз — точка на лбу между бровями, в которой открывается космическое сознание; Аджна чакра.

Хара (яп.) — треугольник, вершиной которого служит мечевидный отросток грудины, сторонами — края грудной клетки, а основание проходит по линии пупка.

Чит — чистое сознание.

Читта — материя разума, субстанция, связующая память и привычки.

Читрини — тонкий канал в сушумне нади, который идет от чакры в основании

позвоночника до макушечной чакры и проводит идущую вниз энергию.

Читшакти — то же, что джива, или душа.

Шакти — динамический и творческий аспект Первопричины, сила, пронизывающая мироздание, дополнительная Шиве женская его половина.

Шактипат — процесс посвящения, осуществляемый гуру путем передачи энергии, которая пробуждает энергию посвященного.

Шива — чистое сознание; запредельное божественное начало.

Юга — историческая эпоха. Существует четыре юги: Кали, Два-папра, Трета и Сатья, соответствующие греческим представлениям о железном, бронзовом, серебряном и золотом веке. Кали Юга, или эпоха материализма, закончилась около 1700 года н. э., и сейчас мы живем в эпоху Апара Юги, 2400 годичном цикле развития электрической и атомной энергии.

Янтра — символическое изображение, подобное мандале, которое используется для лечения, медитативного созерцания и в других метафизических целях.
