Повреждение фронтальных долей мозга может привести к появлению психопатоподобных черт, таких как неспособность к оценке и планированию, импульсивность, равнодушие к возможности быть наказанным и слабость социальных контактов. Однако проявления этой "приобретенной психопатии", как ее называют некоторые исследователи, отличаются от свойственных психопатии черт характера и поведенческих паттернов. И все таки изучение пациентов с мозговыми травмами может дать ключ к разгадке психопатии.
