Я думаю, что обсуждение отношения между автономией и контролем в различных сложных системах и уроки понимания общества, извлечённые из анализа мозга, — хорошее завершение этой книги. Ни одна сложная система не будет успешной без эффективного управляющего механизма, «лобных долей». Но лобные доли функционируют лучше всего, будучи частью высокораспределённой, интерактивной структуры с большой степенью автономии и многими степенями свободы.
