– the Inventor supported the toast.
The excellent taste of champagne switched attention, and for a moment the genius Inventor fell into deep reverie. '...By the will of God... for the bettering of kingdom...'
After a moment, returning to reality, he added:
– For the heather honey!
A servant took away a tray with crystal cups.
Inventor looked around.
From the portrait on the wall the Baron was looking. His sure and calm look for many centuries was directed to the far. Forward? To Beyond the visible? To Out of limits of visible? To the future?
