7. The practice of «Journey to the Upper World»
If during the course exercises you have encountered unusual landscapes (not existing in this world), encountered non-human beings (even mythical ones), or had dreams of fantastical cities or other planets, it may indicate that you have a hybrid soul.
Hybrid souls had been incarnated in other worlds before being born on planet Earth. What these worlds look like and how similar they are to our planet are beyond the scope of this course. (You may find information about these worlds in the second part of the book,
Even if you don't have any signs of a hybrid soul, you should still try another shamanic practice called «Journey to the Upper World».
What is the shamanic Upper World
In the shamanic tradition, the Upper World is the sky, cosmos, stars, and the highest spiritual realm. In many religious and mystical systems, there is a belief that the heavens serve as the dwelling place for higher spiritual beings. These beings are described as airy, transparent, pure, radiant, and angelic, and they help us, looking with sympathy at the Middle World, the world of humans. For a long time, these accounts were often perceived as fairy tales, comforting fantasies, or invented worlds. However, there are people who firmly believe that someone is «watching over» them from the heavens. It may be an individual guide, a deceased (disincarnate) relative, or a higher being.
In Michael Newton's book «Destiny of Souls» such entities are called spirit guides. They are souls of ordinary people, but more spiritually developed than their charges, somewhat like spiritual teachers. The question arises: if so many people believe in this, could it be true? A big advantage of this course is that you can independently seek answers to these questions through the practice of «Journey to the Upper World».
Beforehand, you traveled only on Earth, going to different times and searching for your past incarnations there. Now you are faced with the task of finding your spiritual helpers in space among the stars, and if you are a hybrid soul, recognizing your past incarnations on other planets. The task may seem difficult, but in practice it is much easier to master than even the practice of the «Cave», because you have already accumulated the needed experience
Warning
When starting a spiritual journey to the Upper World (or to the fifth dimension, whichever you prefer), be ready to give up some of your template ideas, especially about paradise, God, angels and aliens from other worlds. In practice, everything turns out to be somewhat different. If nevertheless, on a spiritual journey, you have seen something similar to pictures from movies or from the Bible, then you should ask your subconscious whether this is a convenient imagination game instead.
Trance is easily distinguished from a dream or imagination by some signs:
– You see far from what you wanted or what you like.
– In trance, you perceive new information, which means you see unexpected or even unbelievable images.
– In trance, events unfold on their own, and you rarely have control over them, whereas simple fantasy is easily controlled by your will.
– You experience the seen events more deeply, at the level of emotions.
– You will hear constructive criticism of your actions and behavior.
In other words, it is rare for a situation to arise where a person, instead of engaging in a spiritual journey session, indulges in their own dreams. For example, if you have always believed that you are a distant ancestor of great magicians from Atlantis and, closing your eyes, imagined that you were indeed an Atlantean, it may just be your fantasy. It should be emphasized once again that past lives and journeys to the Upper World are not similar to your ideas about them. However, it is not impossible that you were a magician from Atlantis. Anything is possible in this life.
In the Upper World, you will encounter higher beings, those who can freely travel through space and fly among the stars. However, this does not mean that your souls are worse in any way, or that the beings you meet surpass you and are gods. Yes, they may be more spiritually advanced, but it is not a reason for humiliation. Nobody will criticize you for being, for example, in third grade while your brother is in tenth grade. It is the same here: more advanced beings on the path of spiritual development will be willing to come into contact with you and share knowledge or show you your lives on other planets, but no one will reproach you for your current path.
And the last parting words before the start of practice
In the vast and infinite cosmos, there is no concept of a god, at least not as we perceive it on Earth. There are beings who are practically eternal and all-powerful compared to humans, but even they are mortal and have come into this world to learn. So, show respect when encountering someone great, but do not worship or idolize them.
In the books of Michael Newton and other authors who explore past lives, there is no one who has encountered a fearsome god in the spiritual realm. The main question that everyone preparing for a journey to the Upper World asks is: Does God exist after all? What gives rise to life is described by numerous people in trance as a source of incredible power and light, which Michael Newton refers to as
All of this was said to make you aware that your perceptions of the world is somewhat different from the world itself. The templates by which we act and think restrict our power and prevent us from seeing the right path clearly. When embarking on a journey to the Upper Shamanic World, be prepared to discard the template-like notions of yourself and life as a whole. New worlds, governed by different laws, await you in your spiritual journey.
The practice of «Journey to the Upper World»
Preparation for the practice is as follows: allocate some time for a walk in nature. This is necessary to choose a helper tree. Walk through a park (garden, alley, forest) and observe the trees. If you are drawn to a particular tree, touch it and mentally ask if it will be your helper. For the practice of journeying to the Upper World, such a helper is necessary, although later you will learn about the technique of the «Pyramid of Light», where you can directly enter the fifth dimension by constructing your own pyramid there.
