Плевральный выпот - часто встречающаяся патология, в генезе которой кроме патологии легких имеют значение многие экзо- и эндогенные факторы, обусловленные особенностями морфологии, физиологии и патологии плевры, плевральной полости, а также большим количеством болезней системного и органного характера, инфекционными факторами и др. Новые представления о структуре и функции плевры позволяют по новому взглянуть на проблему формирования плеврального выпота и определить дифференцированный подход к диагностике и лечению этой комплексной проблемы.
